[English]

Group research is one of the efficient models in the field of personal and professional development of professors and students that utilizes collective thinking and learning in order to realize human and organizational talents and capacities. The current study was conducted with the aim of analyzing the effective dimensions on group research in higher education. This study is a qualitative research and is applied in terms of purpose. The statistical population of this study is experts, professors, and doctoral graduates. 20 people were selected as the target sample using the purposeful method and snowball technique. The data collection tool is semi-structured interviews. The data were analyzed using the content analysis method.
The results of the study identified three dimensions including professor characteristics (knowledge and skills and personality traits), student characteristics (personality traits and attitudes), and academic characteristics (academic management and leadership, academic functions, resources and credits, and cultural factors).
In this regard, it is necessary to provide the necessary platform for institutionalizing group research in universities by changing the executive strategies of universities, employing capable professors and developing a group culture among professors and students, providing material and moral support to group researchers, allocating balanced and logical funds to group research in the fields of humanities, institutionalizing a culture that supports participation, and revising curricula with a focus on group teaching and learning activities.
