The primary aim of this study is to introduce and conceptualize the moderation management style based on an Islamic approach. In this regard, the study seeks to develop a conceptual framework by identifying the main pillars, components, and operational indicators of this management style. This research was conducted using a qualitative, theory-driven, and applied approach. Initially, the concepts related to “moderation” were extracted from authoritative lexical sources, the Holy Qur’an along with Tafsir al-Mizan and Tafsir al-Nasafi, as well as Nahj al-Balagha. The data were then analyzed using thematic analysis and categorized into the pillars, components, and operational indicators of moderation management. The findings indicate that the moderation management style can be explained through three main pillars: the pillar of wisdom, which includes the components of “correct judgment” and “prudent decision-making”; the pillar of balance, comprising “behavioral moderation” and “moderation in resource utilization”; and the pillar of perseverance, consisting of “commitment and loyalty” and “operational consistency.” Each of these components is associated with specific operational indicators, facilitating their measurement and practical application in organizational management. The results demonstrate that the moderation management style can serve as a novel framework for organizational management, emphasizing wisdom, balance, and perseverance, and can be applied in decision-making, resource allocation, and the sustainability of organizational performance. Furthermore, by presenting a locally grounded model based on Islamic teachings, this study addresses the gap between Western management theories and the cultural and value-based needs of Islamic societies.
